My favourite Christmas movie! It's such a feel good movie, I love the colours....all the red and the green! Jim Carrey is hilarious and really takes on the role.

**T**_heme_- 8.5/10 **R**_ewatchibility_- 10/10 **A**_cting_- 3.5/10 **K**_inematography_- 9/10 **T**_ime_- 10/10 **Total** - 41/5 = ==8.2== I can understand why this movie is as divisive as it is among different generations of movie fans, it's a retelling of a Christmas classic. For me, I can't help but enjoy it. Is the acting over the top? Yes. Does said acting work from anyone other than Jim? Rarely. But yet, the film doesn't overstay it's welcome, visually it's very whimsical and fantastic, and Carrey's performance is unforgettable. Ron Howard did exactly what I believe this film was meant to do and that is to be an entertaining entry into any Christmas Season watchlist.

Nobody could of played the Grinch better than Jim Carrey. He brings so much energy. I never realized that it was Anthony Hopkins that was the narrator. He has a perfect narrator voice. The Grinch love story is a little weird.

At first I didn't like this movie. It's one of my daughters favorites tho. So she would always want to watch a lot around Christmas time. Now I don't mind it and it's like a Christmas tradition for us now to watch this movie.

I'm not gonna lie, this version of the Grinch scared the crap out of me when I was a kid!

But as I got older I started to get use to it.
The trick was to just listen to the whole thing without looking at it and gradually (each year take a peak).

Really good watch, will eventually watch again, and can recommend, but less so for younger audiences.

I never remembered all the weird adult humor in this, it is usually just the charming grinchiness of Jim Carey's overacting that sticks with me, and maybe the Christmas spirit of Mary Lou Who.
