I'm really in a quandary as to how to "rate" or "grade" this one. Movies like this are only fun for the most diehard zombie cheesecake film fans. The acting was absolutely laughably horrid and as stiff as a railroad tie; in some places, it was even hard to distinguish the actors from those who were supposed to be zombies simply because they were all so woodenly dead in their acting... except for the dead characters, that is. Watch closely around the 00:31:48 - 00:31:51 mark and you'll see a freshly slaughtered body drop from the rafters, undoubtedly as gruesomely dead as you can get...yet she manages to purse her lips long enough to spit out a trickle of blood and make sure it dribbles down her bloody face. Yeah, that's the kind of stuff you can expect from this stinker...along with the typical zombie pulsing drums and low bass-line music that simply _must_ accompany any good zombie flick. On the one hand, it's so cheesy that it's "fun" to watch (takes me back to those Friday nights in the Army, playing pinochle with a group of buddies while watching B-movies on USA's _Up All Night_ and ogling Rhonda Shear) yet on the other hand, it's some of the worst filmwork I've ever seen…and by "filmwork" I'm not referring to the movie itself (which is incredibly bad) but the film editing. At some points, it looks like they cut in some scenes out of a National Geographic documentary, with the natives doing their little rituals, or wildlife scenes that are completely random and make absolutely no sense in this film; at other times - I'm thinking of one scene in particular - it literally looked as though they edited in a "kill scene" on a blue screen background, and in still other scenes, while being incredibly gory, the film just looked...I don't know...just _"Forget quality, forget realism, just focus on how nasty and gross you can make this look..."_ A bunch of out-of-work day laborers who would rip apart raw steaks with their teeth for a few dollars. No sense of directorial "value"…just slap together this film, make it as gross as you can, and mass-market it.

But hey, if (like me) you get a kick out of these cheap cheesy Italian zombie movies, you'll love this one. Absolutely hilarious and with plenty of (by gosh, you'd almost think Lucio Fulci was directing!) damsel-in-distress screams, the frozen-in-place-as-the-zombie-approaches, wide-eyed stares, blood, guts, and brain matter to satisfy any appetite.
