Haulout is a short documentary about the dangers of warming seas and rising temperatures affecting Walruses. Filmmakers Evgenia Arbugaeva and Maxim Arbugaev's project was originally about the marine biologist Maxim Chakilev in his hut on the beach, only to find themselves surrounded and stuck when thousands of Walruses moved onto land. The filmmaking duo and Chakilev are unable to leave the hut. It is a sad short film with a profound message, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere that makes the point sink. Beautifully shot and cinematic. We have destroyed our planet.

"Haulout" is a really powerful short documentary that couldn't be more timely. On the one hand, it perfectly illustrates the dramatic consequences of climate change. On the other hand, the film also provides fantastic images of a spectacular wildlife event. The film follows a marine biologist who observes walruses in a remote cabin in the Russian Arctic. Every year, thousands of the animals gather on the beach, which is showcased here in impressive fashion. It's at times haunting and sad, but at some points it's beautiful as well. The atmosphere is dense throughout, and there is a sense of tension in the air the whole time. For that reason alone, it's worth giving the film a chance.

Fortunately, he has the shelter of a wooden shack - for he must wait longer and More
