As the other commenters have noted, this film has been there, done that, gotten the T-shirt, and is now using same said T-shirt to Mr. Miyagi (wax on..., wax off) the car. But, much like Milla Jojovich and the T-Virus, you kinda know what to expect with a Gerard Butler movie. Either swords and sandals, or big guns, big storms, or generally something big blowing up stuff, REAL GOOD!

Minus 1 "Cinema Sin" for Morena Baccarin, because, er,.. well, Morena Baccarin, but adding one back for Butlers character being fool headed enough to cheat on her. Come on son!!!

Multiple "Sins" for the NOT ever so subtle "wokeness" which made sure all the cringy, creepy, uncooperative, pseudo-evil, feminine hygiene nozzles they encountered were melanin deficient folks, and all the kind, helpful self sacrificing ones (save the pilot at the end) were those less likely to need high SPF sunscreen. Seriously, once you notice it, it's kind of laughable, until it's not.

And of course, the time frame given for nature clearing up an "extinction level event" GREATER than the one that killed the dinosaurs, is a bit "optimistic" at best. But hey it's 2020 Hollywood, and happy endings are in short supply of late.

Not as bad as a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, and, since you've seen it all before, you can multitask if you need to and still enjoy the movie.
