Touching. Charming. Lovely! For those who don't know or haven't seen this film yet this is the story of Alexander, a young man that lives in East Germany and her mother falls into a coma 8 months before the fall of the Berlim wall. She was a devoted member of the communist party and to prevent her from having another shock, Alexander and his sister act like never happened. They create a world were the communist party is still alive This story is perfect in the historical and political context but also portrays very well the social change, the family values, family relationships and love. It's also very humorous with a lot of funny scenes. I loved it!

A captivating masterpiece that brilliantly combines drama and comedy, flowing in an efficient, lively and natural way. The story is great, very original, skillfully interweaving a real political context with fiction. The characters are exceptional, well-developed, and the film balances the complexity of the context with simplicity, lightness and objectivity. It's a narrative full of contrasts that harmonize in perfect harmony. It's a fantastic experience that entertains and moves.

The mother in the movie is brainwashed very seriously by the dictatorship regime. The son seems to be very successful, but in modern society, it is only ridiculous. It is his girlfriend who is more realistic. Tell the truth to his mother. Now it is 2022 However, there are still many evil dictatorships around the world who deceive the people. How many people have suffered from the Wuhan pneumonia, when will human beings wake up and wipe out these evil dictatorships from the world?

When I first watched this movie, I thought it's just a fun movie, a comedy mixed with *Nostalgia* (a German word that's a fusion of *east* and *nostalgia*) . As a west German it's of course great to learn about the GDR, which was to me always like a totally foreign country. I was still a kid in 1989 More
