Finally I understand how white millenial men feel about marvel movies and patrick bateman. She’s literally me irl and i don’t care what that says about me. Am I talking about Enid or Rebecca? I’m not even too sure myself right now. :(

I’ve described some movies as live action cartoons but this is the first movie I’ve seen to capture the appeal of ‘lowbrow art’ in such a strong yet lowkey fashion…. It is so classically-directed and shot, with such a typical movie-type score and pathetic fallacy and all that but it’s contents are so unique yet so typical of their era, too… Gets a lot done with a little, is what it critiques and feels as unsure of that as you and I do. So wonderful. I love it to bits, this is for real my new favourite movie.
