Dracula

A classic Dracula movie, which is though only average to my mind. For fans

Jack Palance stars as _Dracula_ in this made-for-television adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic. The story follows a vampire named Count Dracula who travels to England to reconnect with the reincarnation of his lost love and make her a vampire, but when Dr. Van Helsing is brought in to treat her he discovers what’s going on and attempt to save her. Writer Richard Matheson makes several additions to the Dracula mythos (including reincarnated love and Dracula being the historic Vlad the Impaler) which would be carried into future adaptations (including Francis Ford Coppola’s). However, the acting is rather poor and the action scenes aren’t all that intense or exciting. While it does some interesting things with the material, _Dracula_ is a disappointing film that fails to capture the thrills and horror of Bram Stoker’s work.
