In this 1968 Toho release, an alien race comes to Earth planning on enslaving the population. They take control of all of the Earth’s monsters and turn them into weapons against humanity, attacking all of the planet’s major cities. Eventually, they bring in their ultimate weapon - the space monster King Ghidorah - to finish off the planet. Godzilla leads an All-Star monster cast including Mothra, Rodan, Mantra, Baragon and more. Destroy All Monsters gets a 7 out of 10.

Even if a few of the monster fights in "Destroy All Monsters" are pretty cool, that can't hide the fact that the story in this Godzilla film is even stupider than in its predecessors. I just don't like it when Toho films take a more science fiction route. I simply don't enjoy aliens in ridiculous costumes and the questionable use of spaceships. Furthermore, the human characters are even less important this time around than they were in previous films. As a result, "Destroy All Monsters" is another letdown.

I so loved this when I saw it as a 9 year old boy. Not sure I could sit through it now but man was I into this...

While not a return to form like I thought Mothra vs Godzilla was. This movie certainly stands up there as being cohesive and actually having an interesting human story to go with it.
