Court powerfully conveys the chilling reality of how the judiciary, intertwined with political ideologies, manipulates justice to silence voices of dissent. The film shines a light on how social reformers, like Narayan Kamble, are unfairly branded as criminals simply for speaking out against systemic injustices rooted in caste and class. This vilification of reformers reflects the broader societal tendency to let ideology triumph over truth. The rigid bureaucracy and institutionalized biases not only prevent real change but also construct a narrative that criminalizes those who fight for equality. The film’s stark, unfiltered portrayal of this power imbalance makes it clear that the suppression of activists isn't just a dramatic exaggeration but an ongoing, deeply entrenched issue. Through this lens, Court reveals the devastating consequences of a system that prioritizes order over justice, further entrenching the oppression of marginalized voices. You can play any song, But you can't play the lost chords. The ones they stole leaving me empty, Between the skin and soul.

Brilliantly Scripted Court Drama The view on the Indian Judicial system has always been under scanner and the director uses this plot to serve the audience with a near-realistic depiction of how cases are handled. No wonder the film took 3 years to complete as it involved lots of pre-production work out of which mostly were dedicated to the script making. Script is absolutely rich and at times it smashes you with some surprising facts which it tends to hide inside it but shows off here and there. It depicts the life of almost all the lead characters involved in the movie and their day-to-day activities which makes this very relating subject. Kudos to the director for making such a gem for the Indian Cinema!
