Summary: What felt like another refresh of the story, it didn't hit as hard as 3 and 1 did. Overall, a good film with good characters and storyline but it felt too slow at times and took too long to get to the climax. Even the climax felt too short. I love the anti-slavery philosophy and I adore how each movie has a deep message engrained in it. 6/10

Pros:
• They hit hard on the Fascist police superstate and how they treat the apes. And I love how they correlate their history to the apes we saw in the future. They are color coordinated as prisoners and then in the future, they stick with that coordination.
• Most emotion we see from any of the ape films so far. Caesar's emotion to Armando's death was great.
Cons:
• The random blank stares of Milo during the start of the ape disobedience was just funny and corny to me.
• The fake electrocution death was so funny to me. He fakes it then the guard is just like "He's dead" without checking any vitals.
