More subtle than you’d usually expect from Carry On films (or ‘carrion’, with which Kenneth Horne used to tease Williams when recording Round The Horne.)

Of course there’s all the innuendo, wordplay and ludicrocity we’ve come to expect and love from the iconic British series.

“You’ve always had magnificent balls...” - reminds me of the AC/DC tune :metal_tone1:

Having seen this many, many times over the year, I notice the urinal scene where the Black Fingernail is being hunted carries a very different subtext this time round.

When I saw this as a kid, much of the smut went over my head (so to speak) but now this segment brings up suggestions of cottaging that I was previously too innocent to pick up on...

Also loved Joan Sims in this - brilliantly manipulative.
She was the only woman who could play harridan and hottie when facing Sid - often in the same film :thumbsup_tone1:

Incidentally - the huge impressive mansions used in filming looked suspiciously familiar... a quick Wikipedia search revealed that they filmed at nearby Cliveden and Waddesdon Manors which I’ve visited many times.
