Cabin Fever

Re-watching this film for second time, and still doesn't compare to other good horror films. Eli Roth's first but not his best...

Having watched the latest episode of Eli Roth's History of Horror I decided to watch his debut film Cabin Fever as it is being talked about. I liked the example of practical effects they give and how they summarized the story. Anyway, I didn't expect the see a random kid with a terrible mullet, bite people and show off some kung fu, I didn't expect that last scene with the old man and the people he cleaned their guns for. I did not expect to see a character like Winston, hunting young girls. No not at all. However the acting is great for a horror movie, the effects sublime. Like the face reveal when they turn around Karen. The open ending was great too and the way virus worked. But they left so much in the open, it had more potential in my eyes. But for the short run time, I didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time just that it could've been much more. So much more. Ps. Eli Roth, please keep making these History of Horror episodes though!
