Bullyparade: The Movie

Bullyparade: The Movie left me feeling underwhelmed, and I’d say it’s largely because I watched it too late and missed the cultural moment that made it so popular. The humor that Michael “Bully” Herbig and his crew are known for simply never resonated with me. It relies heavily on exaggerated stereotypes and slapstick comedy that, in my opinion, aren’t particularly well executed or clever. While I can see how it might appeal to those who grew up with the original Bullyparade TV show and its blend of absurdity and parody, I found the humor to be dated and lacking in originality. The sketches feel more like a series of disconnected gags than a cohesive movie, and many of the jokes revolve around predictable cultural clichés that didn’t quite land for me. Overall, Bullyparade: The Movie feels like it’s relying on nostalgia rather than offering anything fresh or genuinely funny. It might have worked in the early 2000s when the original show was at its peak, but watching it now, it just didn’t click. If you’re a fan of that style of humor, you might enjoy it, but for me, it’s a miss.
