Link to, "The Lost Footage," on YouTube: **https://youtu.be/HikkMFVxdfM** (I suggest Firefox browser with these plugins: uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Cookie Autodelete, and have container tabs enabled) As struck as I was by this movie, my best friend from High School had to explain some basic symbolism I'd missed at the beginning: When the camera's following the parade, and we see the white picket fences, both of which portray wholesomeness, the viewpoint starts to go down into the ground and we see the insects and detritus under the neatly manicured lawns, which symbolize the rot and decay just under the surface. This is a theme through the movie of course. Interesting in, "The Lost Footage," there are scenes indicating a termite infestation threatens the very framework of the home they live in.
