Not bad in essence but I'd find it better without some of the loud babbling transports. I assume it is to lull and shock in the context of French mainstream cinema but I'm not that audience so for me it just becomes tiresome and annoying very early on. I could also do without playing off rape as a humiliating cringe joke on the victim but maybe that too is just a shocker, I don't know. That said, there are some hilarious scenes and even some strong emotive ones, but they sort of get lost in the constant genre bending twistaroos.

Someone was walking around with a big bag of jokes which got split open by the cutting edge and spilled all over the floor. Then they decided to stomp on them with combat boots to make them violent and add a twist of color (blood red, the color was blood red). All in all, I would have preferred to watch a stinging, bitter comedy with a single storyline rather than an anthology of sometimes successful skits (of which the Blanche Gardin / Lilith Grasmug gynecologist bit was the highlight).

First I want to put a warning for rape scenes which I never find tasteful in any film. I'd say this is more a comedy with shocking violence and themes rather than the usual horror comedy. This brilliantly bleak satire/comedy is as disturbing as it is hilarious and will at least make you uncomfortable often. Despite being super talky and having too many characters, it's actually very hypnotic and does a great job in that it really pulls you into the intense tension and frustration in such an overcrowded situation that make me claustrophobic, which I think that's the intended effect. Certainly not for everyone but for those who like dark satire I highly recommend this film.

This was intense. Mostly funny, very funny. A bit trash, rarely politically correct, and hilarious. And then later on some scenes that totally cut with the tone of the rest of the movie, as intensely hard and sad as the rest is intensely funny.
