This is one of those movies. The diamond in a pile of coals. This is the reason you scour Netflix, and clearence bins. This is that new shirt that you found at the thrift store, that you actually like quite a bit. Low budget, freshly original, yet poking a ton of fun at the big budget, and the old classic horror, movies. And dont forget the twist. And then the other twist at the end. I seriously believe there will be a sequel to this movie, so I suggest, er recommend, watching this movie. Honestly, I didnt really like the actors very much, but thats not to say they did a bad job, just the only lovable character was the villian. This movie reminded me mostly of The Collector, but there was Scream, Friday the 13th, and many more scenes within, altogether, extremely interesting. So after you catch up on all of your watchlist, and you just cant seem to find something to watch, try this one, I am sure you'll be pleased.

Suprising, original and constantly entertaining, _Better Watch Out_ really is a fun breath of fresh air in a time when most movies feel predictable and telegraphed. It reminded me of two of my favorite horror comedies of the last years, _Krampus_ for the thematic and tonal similarities, and _The Visit_ for the reunion of stars Olivia DeJonge and Ed Oxenbould.

Damn!! I didn’t expect that and it went into it really fast and got darker and twisted the more in and ended up a decent film with a good ending to it.

Fantastic watch, would watch again, and do recommend.

This is a movie that is almost impossible to talk about, it is so twisted and refreshing on so many levels. Just the premise of a home invasion is enough to make for a potentially good movie on its own, which is why it's basically an entire g More

Yuletide log slips from the fire to ignite the Xmas horror movie sub-genre.

Lets have it right, the 1/10 reviews are from hardcore horror fans who just didn't get the horror experience they was looking for. That's understandable, it's one of the toughest genres to please given the broadness avail More

"In an alternate mid-80’s universe, director Joe Dante’s follow-up to his grim Yuletide fairy tale Gremlins would have been Safe Neighborhood, a crisp, crackling, black and bloody Christmas comedy/horror..."

The holidays are approaching as we prepare to reach the end of the year but director/co-writer Chris Peckover wants to beat the chaotic Christmas rush by offering some creepy coal in his cinematic stockings–most notably a merry-minded macabre middle finger to the Yuletide season in the charmingly More
