Summary: I'm really not sure how to make of this film. Is it bad? Not really. Is it good? eh. It's entertaining and has good moments but it suffers from many issues. 1. First and second half feel like different stories. 2. Because of being forced to have a new mc, the first half is essentially just the first film again. 3. The future mankind showed up too late and sudden to be a great plot. Overall, the movie is nowhere near as good as the first but it has it's moments. There's an amazing plot hidden in it that I wish were brought to life. 5.5/10

Pros:
• Even though the beginning is essentially the same as the first film, I do like how they increased the threat level with the military gorillas
• The scene where they find a destroyed subway is cool but I also think it's weird that not a single ape found out about it till now.
• The future humans becoming Fallout Ghouls actually made me laugh. Not a bad twist but hilarious one.
• They just blow up the planet?! That's a crazy and sudden end. But I honestly kind of like it. A no-win scenario.
Cons:
• The CGI is hilariously bad.
• Sadly, Charlton Heston refused to return as Taylor as the main character so the beginning is almost a remake of the original.
• Nova is once again just the mute side character. She does nothing of importance in this film sadly.
• The whole future human v ape thing was too sudden and random. Wish it was progressed reasonably. Like, I'm still confused on these future human abilities and how they survive.
• After Nova being essentually useless, they just kill her off...
• Brent didn't really have much of a character behind him. Kind of just a generic guy.
