Would someone please explain to me why Steven Seagal can't even do his own lines anymore? This is the third - out of the last FOUR - movies that Seagal has dialed in his lines, and this time it sounds like someone sucking on a helium balloon. While (again) it's certainly not his worst, _Attack Force_ is far from being a "good" movie; the writers couldn't decide whether they wanted to produce an action film or a horror film (maybe this was the precursor to _Against the Dark_ ? Haven't got that far yet... ) so they went with a drug that turned ordinary people into super-monsters with zombie-like characteristics. While it's possible to kill them, it gets increasingly difficult, hence only Seagal's Akido skill can save the day and stem the tide of evil. (Insert eye-rolling sound here) There are a few decent fight scenes, but as in most of his later movies, Seagal prefers to do most of the killing with a firearm instead of his martial arts expertise. So much of this movie makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever, and - to my recollection - it's the first story in which [Seagal actually fights - and kills - a female character…not just ONE, but TWO of them, in fact]. The closing scene came on so abruptly and with no lead-up whatsoever, so I was left staring at the screen wondering what had happened. I mentioned that someone is doing Seagal's lines for him; there **ARE** numerous scenes in which Seagal is voicing his own lines…which makes the voiceover that much more obvious. There's a distinct difference between Seagal's voice and the voiceover; the fake (as mentioned earlier) sounds like someone who's been sucking on helium. And anyone who has followed Steven Seagal's film career since _Above the Law_ can instantly recognize Seagal's voice. But it's not just the voiceover's that make _Attack Force_ so unwatchable: it's EVERYTHING. The story itself is absolutely ludicrous, the plot holes are too numerous to count, the lines are so blurred between who, what, when, and where that numerous lines fail to ever get tied off...leading to what has to be one of the worst closings of a movie I've ever seen.

Also, a public service notice: **Throughout the movie, there are bright flashing light sequences.** I don't know if it was meant to portray the weird "eye thing" with the affected/infected addicts or what, but I can tell you that these flashing sequences were extremely annoying even to ME...and I don't suffer from epilepsy or other light-sensitive afflictions. I tried to make a note of when they started but the first was probably between the 30-minute and 1-hour mark (I even went back through the movie and tried to find the exact time stamps but couldn't without watching the entire movie again, and I just can't bring myself to do that. Sorry!); the second sequence was between the 1:19:30 mark and kept happening intermittently until the conclusion of the film (1:30:25). Just be advised that if you have an aversion to flashing/strobe lights (or know someone who does), this movie _could_ prove to be harmful. I'm not sure how all that works, but I *can* tell you that it was very annoying.
