One of the best horror movies ever made but if anyone refers to it as a comedy horror ill be forced to hurt you very badly!! And the transformation scene is hands down the best scene in any horror movie couldn't be bettered if with today's SFX "i didn't mean to call you meatloaf, jack"

This is a classic for a reason...the effects are incredible and it is one of the few horror/comedies that isn't overcome by one or the other. You get some good chuckles and some decent scares in there. It will be a different pace than today's films, but it well worth the time invested.

What is this ending? 😵‍💫 Some good comedy bits plus it's a classic but this movie can't decide if it's a comedy or a drama. Loved the balloon bit hah. The effects were also really good, reminded me of The Thing!

I first saw this film in the cinema around 1981ish and I loved it then. Surprisingly I never saw it again and it was 38 years later that I finally bought a version to home view. In this case Blu Ray.

You have to say for a film nearly 40 years old with special effects, acting and film-making from More

**The best horror film of the eighties**

This is a gem, it really is. Alternately amusing and horrific - John Landis plays our emotions like a fiddle here. He is pulling all the strings and we are uncertain as to which string he is going to pull next.

From the eerie Yorkshire countryside of th More
