"Air Doll" is a film that captures the essence of loneliness in a big city professionally. A theme that resonates deeply with me as someone living in a big, isolating and cold-hearted city that makes me feel rather small and worthless sometimes. The city in this movie represents everything wrong with society: a vast chasm where humans are imprisoned to work and fulfill superficial freedoms granted by the upper hands. They always tell us we've got the free will but it's not true at all. Free will is nothing but an illusion. It's a toxic drink packaged as happiness for the society to drink. True freedom, like living in a field, away from all the troubles of daily life, is restricted by ownership and authority. The city promises everything we need, except love. True love, beyond the cynical, lust-driven society, is natural and genuine, something we are losing touch with in our quest for eternal fulfillment. Some things in life – such as sex, while pleasurable – erect a poison that distorts our existence.
