A fantastic and nostalgic snapshot of a moment in time when the music that would come to be called “alternative” was at its most vital and authentic and punk. It only took a few years for corporate entities to commodify and homogenize it into another form of corporate product, with trash like Collective Soul or Live or Pearl Jam leading on to Creed and Nickelback. There was a time when this stuff was really exciting.
